Background

Metso identified a clear need for a versatile virtual space that could effectively present the Nordtrack™ and Lokotrack® product families while also serving as a global platform for hosting virtual events. Metso Liveroom was launched in 2021 to meet this need, providing a visually impressive and highly functional environment designed to offer an engaging alternative to live, in-person experiences.

The virtual space is built to be immersive, easily upgradable, and adaptable to future product expansions and new launches. It integrates 3D models, promotional videos, instructional content, and technical information, creating a unique customer experience for a global audience. The emphasis on scalability and smooth usability ensures that Metso Liveroom remains a cutting-edge solution for virtual events and product presentations.

  • A new modular expansion called Quarry World was integrated, adding more depth to the virtual space.
  • The global Parts & Services 2023 Live Event was successfully hosted, showcasing the Liveroom’s capabilities as a prime venue for large-scale virtual events.
  • Virtual people were added throughout the Liveroom to give perspective on the size and scale of the machinery.
  • New advertising surfaces, including video screens in the lobby and on the jumbotron, were introduced to enhance visual impact.

On-going development and improvements

Since its launch, the Metso Liveroom has proven to be a crucial tool for hosting virtual events, connecting with partners and distributors in real-time across multiple languages.
